Each apartment can be easily cleaned individually and they’re constructed of rust-free aluminum to dissipate heat.  All of the six apartments measure 9″ wide at the front, 3″ wide at the back, 6″ deep, and 6″ tall to give each martin family sufficient room.  Drainage and ventilation holes throughout to keep the nests fresh and dry and perching rails extend around the exterior. 

Plastic door stops are included to close the house off to squatter birds.  These should be inserted when your colony migrates in the winter.
